Signman,

Thank you for the up date. Just make sure the Tanami is open by the end of June.

The wild flowers out there will be something to see.

Signman,

And while you are at it, the other roads that are closed now I will need them open in July.

Thanks

Rather than wait for someone to give info on road conditions, the status of SA (outback) roads can be accessed anytime by anyone on the Transport SA web site. It's pretty reliable and up to date. Link

Or ExplorOz.

Updated two to three times a week. Go to Topics and then Road Conditions

The ExplorOz home page also has a National Road Conditions section that I generally use as a guide, I assume it is reliable and up to date.
ExplorOz is a wealth of information.

The ExplorOz system is updated all the time. Kerry is managing the updates and is always working on ensuring the reports are accurate. The map on the home page is only a small sample of the data in the system. I need more time to complete the mapping interface to include the rest of the Australian roads that we report on. Also in some cases ours may be more updated than the official reports as we accept updates from various local resources around the country such as Mt Dare and some others from Birdsville etc.
